We are all earthlings

This might be a bit different from my other posts but I want to share this important message with you “we are all earthlings” this is a sentence which literally changed my life and with it my entire view of how I see the world.

When I first started my vegan journey I read a lot of books and watched a lot of documentaries. One of those documentaries was earthlings. It might be a taffer one to watch but it can change your entire perspective. This was the moment I got to the point where I truly realized that we are ALL earthlings. We are ALL the same. No matter from where we are, no matter if we are humans or animals we all are earthlings. Not more and not less. We do not know why we are here or what we are meant to do in this world. We are all just thrown in here. We have a free will, souls, hearts, minds, feet, eyes, ears. We all have feelings. Where is the difference? Animals or humans, black or white, Austrian or Australian, who cares? We are here. All on the same planet. All we can do is make the best with the time that is given to us. Which means for me that we are all kind, gentle, nice, and non-violent. No one should hurt another living being! No matter if this is a human being or a cat, a cow, a goat, a horse, a monkey or whatever else you can think of. Honestly what makes the different? Why are we used to slaughter cows, pigs and chicken but if someone would harm a dog or eat its dead flesh it would be so tragic? That’s just because we learned it that way. When we grew up we got taught that the lives of some living creatures worth less than others. But why? Let’s go to another countries with other tradition, in India they would never kill a cow and in china its ‘normal’ to eat a dog. That’s are just traditions which no one thinks about. We are used to eating this kind of stuff. Do we need it? No definitely not! In fact animal products harm our health. Diseases are getting more and more but changing the diet which we know? No, never! But it would be the answer to many things.

In a perfect world no one would kill or just harm any other creatures. We could all live in perfect harmony. We could learn from each other, from other cultures but also from other species. We could live in perfect harmony. I really do believe in this. But we do not live in this perfect illusion of the planet. We harm other species and even our own species. We fight, we kill, we harm, and we steal. But if we could see that each and every being on this planet does worth the exact same we could make this world a better place. For us, for our children and for any other creature which will ever live. Because if we do not change things up we might ruin our world!

So make a change. And with the words of a very wise man: start with the man in the mirror! So start with you and start now! Whenever you see the next person be kind, smile and say something nice. Even if its just a friendly hello the other person will appreciate it and who knows maybe you will make their day better with this little gesture. Whenever you go to a supermarket make a choice and don’t support those cruel industry by buying animal products. Go vegan or at least start with buying as much vegan products as its possible for you right now and keep the other products to a minimum. And maybe you will be able to cut them out of your life one day forever. Whenever you see an animal be grateful that you are allowed to live with them. That you can see them because they are beautiful. They have hearts and souls like you. Some of them are able to fly and all of them have beautiful skills. Whenever you see a sunset appreciate it and whenever you think about a friend or a family member be grateful that they are in your life. They are making your life so much more good. Every person you’ll have met or you will meet do have an impact on your life and you can decide if this will be a positive impact. Live positive, kind, friendly, do no harm, don’t fight or steal and you will be happier than you ever thought you could be. y changed my life and with it my entire view of how I see the world.

Lots of love
